Firework Events Not to Miss in #Leeds and #Manchester

As Guy Fawkes Night rapidly beckons, the sky will be ablaze with colour. Bask in the traditional, chilly November spirit with JLife’s pick of the must-attend fireworks displays.


Roundhay Park

Once again this year, thousands of people are expected to flock to Roundhay Park on 5thNovember to enjoy Leeds’ biggest bonfire and fireworks event.


The fire lighting will be getting underway at 7.30pm, with the fireworks display kicking off from 8pm. And, even better, the spellbinding sight is completely free – no tickets are required!


Stockeld Park

On 1st NovemberStockeld Park’s is hosting a spectacular fireworks display with a difference!


Deep in the Yorkshire forest, the majestic fireworks will be set to an array of atmospheric tunes. While the entertainment commences at 5.30pm, why not go along earlier and make the most of the other fun-filled attractions? The park is open from 2.30pm.


Woodhouse Moor

Being in close proximity to Leeds city centre and surrounded by a wealth of dining and drinking hotspots, Woodhouse Moor is emerging as a popular choice for those eager to see the sky being set alight.


On 5th November from 6.30pm, a tide of people will be expected to be in attendance – so make sure you arrive early!




intu Trafford Centre

On 1st November at 6.30pm, the North West’s biggest free firework display returns to intu Trafford Centre with more than 10,000 people expected to descend on Barton Square.


The display which lasts for 20 minutes is the region’s biggest free firework display and takes months of planning and preparation to create. Hours of choreography goes into the music choice and setting up the 1,800 synchronised fireworks lighting up the Manchester sky during the display which is cleverly co-ordinated to five different songs.


Aleesha Jones from from intu Trafford Centre charity Once Upon A Smile will be pressing the button to start the proceedings.


Unsworth Cricket Club

Wrap up warm, have a selection of toffee apples at the ready to tuck into and venture to Unsworth Cricket Club’s bonfire night celebrations on 7th November from 5.30pm.


The annual affair is set to feature fairground rides, stalls and, of course, a bonfire and a spectacular firework show. But that’s not all; food will be available to whet your appetite, while a beer tent, licensed bar, and clubhouse will help extend your excitement into the later hours of the night.


Crumpsall Park

Crumpsall Park is perfectly placed for you to enjoy a fun evening out with family and friends, all the while being greeted by a wondrous scene.


The site’s fireworks display starts at 7.30pm; however there will also be a funfair from 5pm to 9.30pm for everyone to enjoy. While entry is free, parking space is limited so it would be wise to hop on public transport if possible.
