The experience includes classic and bespoke cocktails and a variety of tasters to sample along the way. Learn about the gin making process before moving to The Lab where every guest gets the opportunity to make their own bespoke bottle of gin from over 50 botanical flavours!
Always a Fascination
The much-loved comedy cabaret trio Fascinating Aïda is back out on tour this spring, including a date at The Lowry on Mother’s Day itself! Dillie Keane, Adèle Anderson and Liza Pulman are bringing a selection of old favourites and topical hilarious songs you haven’t heard before and some you wish you’d never heard in the first place.
Formed in 1983, the troupe has three Olivier Award nominations and over 25 million YouTube and Facebook hits so far. The new show promises to be a feelgood, strictly over 14s riot that will amuse, delight and horrify in equal measure.
Peace and Quiet?
If you managed to watch A Quiet Place in 2018 starring Emily Blunt without making a peep, then its upcoming sequel A Quiet Place: Part II might be for you and the badass mum in your life! Tenacious mother Evelyn (Blunt) returns to help her young family get to a place of safety in this new horror sequel, promising a spooky follow-up that will have us casting daggers at those rustling their popcorn too loudly. Out in cinemas on 20th March.
The recently refurbished Woodstock Arms in West Didsbury – which is also a regular location in the latest series of ITV’s Cold Feet and former home of the British Council – is planning a special Mother’s Day menu in time for the special day. The pub on Barlow Moor Road has long been a go-to for a classic Sunday roast in lush surroundings, and the offering on Mother’s Day in Manchester is sure to make your cherished relative feel very loved.
The Sunday menu includes the likes of roasts with 21-day aged sirloin of beef or rosemary and garlic rubbed leg of lamb with roast potatoes with red wine jus. We can’t promise that it will be better than your mum’s though
