From unmissable pantomime productions to a special Veganuary feast, JLife has rounded up some exciting events happening near you.


Beer Belly
In aid of Veganuary, Belgrave Musical Hall is serving up a vegan special edition feast on 12th January comprising the very best vegan street-food vendors in Leeds. Bring all of the family from 11am for a fun-filled day of kids craft activities, pizza making classes and an art market with a DJ featuring from 2pm onwards. Entry is free all day.


Get Into The Swing Of It
Chase away the winter blues and have the time of your life at Alhambra Theatre watching the heart pounding production of Dirty Dancing, packed with toe-tapping favourites, Hungry Eyes, Hey Baby and Do You Love Me? The classic love story of the star crossed lovers who come together at a holiday camp will run from 28th January until 2nd February. Tickets are available to purchase online.


Holocaust Memorial Day
A civic commemoration event marking Holocaust Memorial Day is set to take place at Leeds Town Hall 27th January at 2pm. The free annual event will be hosted by the Lord Mayor of Leeds Councillor Reverend, Alan Taylor, including live music, performances, a reading of the seven statements of commitment with candle lighting following under the theme ‘Torn from Home’.


A Change Of Scene
Escape to a magical kingdom at Carriageworks Theatre and discover who is the fairest of them all in the spectacular pantomime production of Snow White. The family-friendly classic is busting with mayhem and malarkey, running from 18th until 26th January. Tickets are available to buy online.
