What’s On in Leeds this February?

It may be a short month, but February is jam-packed to the rafters with exciting events in Leeds and JLife has picked out some unmissable dates to help fill your diary.


Get busy with the fizzy
Calling all gin and prosecco lovers! Celebrate the end of dry January with the nation’s favourite beverages at the Prosecco and Gin Festival on Saturday 16th February 2019. The festival will take place at the beautiful New Craven Hall, promising a large selection of sparkling wines, prosecco’s, over 60 carefully selected gins and the opportunity to meet suppliers. Tickets are priced from £12.50pp for strictly over 18’s only.


Humour me
Wipe away any winter blues with an ultimate rib-tickling night of entertainment at Leeds First Direct Arena with Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club. Featuring famous faces from popular comedy shows such as BBC’s Mock the Week and Michael Mcintyre’s comedy roadshow, the downright hilarious show is set to hit the stage on Friday 8th February 2019.


Ice Ice Baby
Don your woolly hat, Leeds’s coolest wintertime attraction, the Ice Cube, is set to return to Millennium square from Friday 1st February until Sunday 24th February 2019. The undercover ice-skating experience is the ideal way to entertain the kids whatever the weather, and whatever their skating ability. Budding skaters can pair up with a penguin stabiliser or pre-book a four week tuition course in advance. Weekly sessions are also available on Thursday mornings for wheelchair users who may prefer a more relaxed experience.


The X factor live tour returns to Leeds Saturday 16th February. See your favourite contestants preform live and cheer them on during a jam-packed night of dazzling entertainment at Leeds First Direct Arena. All under 14s must be accompanied by an adult.


Cool beans
Fee, Fi, Fo, Fum, head over to the Carriageworks Theatre for oodles of storytelling fun! Bursting with excitement, mayhem and a giant helping of magic, CBeebies presenter, Patrick Lynch, tells the classic fairy tale of Jack and the Beanstalk on Sunday 24th February. Suitable for the ages of three and above.
